Use a Used CarA used car sounds cheap doesn't it; there is an image of being a little tatty and falling apart but is this fair and can a used car be even better than a new one? There is certainly no doubting that a used car is far more cost effective; a new car is hugely overpriced and loses a large proportion of its value as soon as it leaves the forecourt. This is not an attractive selling point. Cars have been developing for years and they are now super reliable. For this reason, there are many used cars around these days that are not only cheap, but in excellent condition. A used car could be so much more than just a bucket of rust. (more...) Car Adverts - Simple and Effective! There are many car drivers all over the world and we all see motoring in a different way. We have differing opinions, differing standards and of course, we are always right! One thing that we all agree on though, is that we want value for our money when it comes to purchasing a car. One of the most important things when buying a car is the price. This is probably the single most important factor that determines whether we buy a vehicle or not. If the price is right, then we will hand over our cash. If we tyre-kick and find that the car is not up to scratch, then we have no qualms in walking away. This is one of the reasons why it is important to be honest if you are intending to sell your car. (more...) Choose Your Car in 2010 Through Car ClassifiedsTraditionally, to sell a car it is quite likely that to save the hassle of trying to sell privately we tend to go to a dealer and trade in the vehicle we want to dispense with. Selling a car can be an emotional experience and the car salesmen play on that fact and by manipulating the finance and price we can be led to the conclusion that we are being offered a good price for our sometimes treasured trade-in. In reality the dealer needs to make a net margin, however, the deal looks to the client, who always pays in the end. It can often swing the deal if the client thinks he or she has got a good price for their car and apparently has beaten down the dealer on the new car. So, what are the alternatives to ensure we get the true market price for our vehicle? They can range from sticking a sign in the window of the car to comparatively expensive advertising in the local newspapers. Or, we can turn to the Auto Trader which has become a standard for the trade with its online version having been recently updated in a major way. Here, the seller actually pays to advertise the vehicle and normally commits to a minimum period of display. Using EBay is another way to advertise, again paying for the space online. car classifieds are now available online and there are differing ways to take advantage of this method of advertising. As opposed to the classified ad section in the newspapers where the seller pays for the advert it is now possible to advertise one’s vehicle totally free of charge for as long as necessary with photos and full descriptions and it is the buyer that pays when he phones the seller using a premium rate phone line for the initial call. The rates are not outrageous and appropriate warnings are given. (more...) Seek Out Your New Car Using Classified AdsThe classified sections of the newspapers and also the online ads are full of cars, usually as a result of people wanting to upgrade their driving experience. If you can sell your car for the right price then it is a good way to move forward, puts cash in your hands, and puts you in a strong position for negotiation when buying another vehicle. If you are buying another vehicle then ‘cash is king’ and you will be in the supreme position when buying direct, maybe through the classified ads, of being able to offer immediate payment to a seller. Also, when buying from a dealer, you will not be in a position of being manipulated by the salesman into buying a vehicle at a higher price than necessary to satisfy his finance targets and at the same time being led to believe that the car you are selling is worth more than it really is. Whilst you can just put a ‘For Sale’ sticker in the back window of your car it is more efficient when selling a vehicle to put an advertisement in the used car classifieds . You can use a variety of media, including the industry standard, the Auto Trader, or there are several dedicated newspapers and sections of the local press that can be used. (more...) Second Hand Car for SaleWhile many European countries have slowly emerged from the global recession, the UK is still treading water. This came as a big surprise to many respected economists who seemed supremely confident that the UK would begin to grow again in the fourth quarter of 2009. UK residents took the bad news in their stride as they continue to tighten their belts and put off major purchases like homes and automobiles. But what happens when your old car breaks down and you need a way to get to work in the morning? Really, there are only two choices. You can either buy a new car or purchase a quality used car . The company began with three brothers and two close friends who for some strange reason were obsessed with building the perfect car. At the time, of course, automobiles were a luxury item, but this fact didn’t seem to trouble the brothers. In less than a year’s time, they produced their first working vehicle and quickly secured investors and even a few clients. Then the brothers realised that what they truly needed was publicity. So they began participating in motor racing and the Renault name spread like wildfire. Though they are well known in Europe, it may surprise you to learn that Renault is currently the world’s fourth largest automaker, ahead of popular brands like Chrysler, BMW and Daimler. Sales of the used Renault cars are also amongst the best in Europe. (more...) Find a Used Audi Q7As soon as BMW successfully entered the SUV market with the X5 in 1999, it was almost a given that others would follow. And they did. One of the latest SUV offerings from a top luxury car maker is the Audi Q7. But unlike BMW’s X5, the Q7 is a large luxury SUV, which means that it is spacious and offers more amenities than most drivers would ever use. Probably the most impressive is Audi’s inimitable Multi Media Interface, which controls everything from the audio system to climate control to navigation. The vehicle is also quite spacious and can easily seat seven adults. However, the Audi Q7 is not without its flaws. Most of them can be attributed to the vehicle’s size. As we mentioned, it’s a big SUV and it is quite heavy, which does affect acceleration and handling. But overall, the Q7 can hold its own with almost any SUV on the market. That is why the used Audi Q7 sells well at dealerships around the world. (more...) This means you know how many miles and whether the car is automatic or manual before you even step onto the lot. (more...) Buying a Used RenaultNowhere has the French carmaker Renault achieved more success than in the UK, where its cars have been top sellers for nearly two decades. The company entered a crowded market dominated by names like Ford and Vauxhall with little fanfare in the early 1950’s. But by the turn of the century, the company had shifted its focus to automobiles. In 1903, they produced their very first car and early models sold at a brisk pace. A decade later the company’s A-type cars became one of the first vehicles to reach speeds of up to one-hundred miles per hour. But the war years were hard on the promising carmaker and they needed a partner with deep pockets to keep the doors open. In 1925, the American auto giant General Motors stepped in and purchased the company for about a million and a half pounds. Though the brand is limited, it shouldn’t be difficult to locate a second hand vauxhall on the internet. (more...) Paper or Web?How often have you sat down to read the car classified ads to find your dream car? Probably less than you used to I would guess. I remember being fascinated by Exchange and Mart as a kid, flicking through each black and white page and choosing what I would buy if I had the money for a car. Now I am more likely to skip the printed ads and journals and head straight for the internet. It is just, well, so much easier. Why walk down to the post office to buy a newspaper or car magazine when I can just loaf on the sofa and click my way through through pages of cars? Whether this is better or worse I cannot decide. It is certainly more efficient, as I can narrow down the available cars within a few minutes according to the criteria that I set. Price, model, fuel type, year, the criteria are endless. Rather than leafing through pages and pages of adverts, I can now see all the relevant cars at the click of a mouse. Nothing could be easier. It is convenient, it is efficient and it is the way our world is going. Still, you cannot compare it with the excitement of holding a real sheet of inky paper and wondering what you will find over the next page. |
