Vauxhall Sales: A British Success StoryVauxhall Motors Limited were originally a British car manufacturer, originally formed in 1903, when the company made their first horseless carriage. Since then, Vauxhall have become an internationally renowned car manufacturer. The company was purchased by General Motors in 1925. Shortly afterwards the first Bedford truck was introduced, which-kick started the company’s reputation. In the late 60’s and early 70’s, Vauxhall were amongst the most popular cars in Britain, mainly due to the iconic Viva and Victor models. The Chevette, a small three door hatchback, proved to be another major success. Today, vauxhall sales are booming, especially in the UK, where they sell almost as many vehicles as Ford, their biggest competitor. This is mainly due to their subsequent introduction of household name cars. These include the highly popular Cavalier and Astra family hatch-backs, as well as the cavalier’s successor, the Vectra, which has proven to be even more popular than the equivalent Ford Mondeo. The Corsa super-mini was Britain’s second most popular new car when the updated version was introduced in 2000. Due to the variation in size and specification available, there are a wealth of Vauxhall models to be found on many on-line Car Sales Websites and Used Car Sales showrooms to be found on most High Streets throughout the country. They can be purchased at competitive prices, to suit any budget. |
